INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS APPLYING FOR OFF CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION IN SHANGHAI MARITIME UNIVERSITY

Dear Int’l Students,

In order to further standardize the application process for International Students who wish to live off campus, the University has deemed it appropriate to issue this notice to ensure the personal safety of International Students outside the University’s premises.

1. Application Conditions

a. Abide by the laws and regulations of the Peoples Republic of China. The student must have no criminal records.

b. The student must have excellent academic performance.

c. Comply with the Shanghai Municipal and the University’s Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures and other relevant regulations.

d. Students who suitable to apply to live off campus are those with special cases, scientific research or having physical or mental health issues.

2. Application Process

a. Students should apply to their various College Counselors, fill out the application forms and add the relevant attachments.

b. Parents are to sign the “Parents/ Guardian Notice”. The document must only be signed by Parents/ Guardians.

c. College Counselors will then review the “Students’ Application Materials” and approve them according to the Students’ actual situation and academic performance.

d. After passing this process, student should report to the relevant leaders and the International Education College (IEC).
